PaSSBot is a unique stochastic filter bank audio processor. The desktop VST/AU version of PaSSbot was released in February 2020, and this iOS version is in line with the latest version 2.1.
PaSSBot offers various filter types including Biquad, StateVariableFilter, Ladder, and Resonators. It supports bandpass, Lo + Hipass behaviors, allowing for up to 64 filters in true stereo.
Users have control over parameters such as center frequency, gain, and resonance for each filter. These settings can be further refined using powerful stochastic generators (4 independent GENs per filter) with continuous or discrete probabilistic distributions as well as standard waveforms.
Individual filter parameters can be customized or distributed in harmonic order, with the option to set the harmonic spread ratio manually or through modulation by a GEN.
The precision DSP rendering ensures control rate precision of less than 1 millisecond. The filters can operate continuously or be manually triggered, with each filter capable of applying an independent AR envelope with configurable random duration in the latter case.
Important Notes:
- A recent model of iPad is recommended for optimal performance. Additionally, setting the host buffer size to 128 or higher significantly aids CPU efficiency, especially with a higher number of parallel filters in use.
- Resonators may exhibit sensitivity to input signal level.
